What Are Alternatives To Google
Google is the most popular search engine used for Internet searches. Google's market share of over 90% in a number of countries. Who are the main competitors to it in the present? What alternatives do you have when it comes to searching for information via the Internet? We will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of two distinct search engines.
See this link for an example.
Microsoft's Bing Search Engine
Microsoft's Bing search engine could be the most popular alternative to Google. The two appear similar from a visual perspective. Each search engine result provides details about the search result like its title and description along with an hyperlink to it. There are also facts relevant to certain search results using the information panel on the right side of the navigation. Bing also has vertical search engines for specific types of content including videos, images and news. They can be found on separate pages or in the main search engine results page. Google has been accused of showing YouTube videos prominently in video search results, however, this hasn't been a problem for Bing. Like Google, Bing also analyses the behavior of users, by storing details about the queries they made and the results they clicked. This allows Bing the capability to show personalised advertising directly in its results. Bing also has the capability to show personalised ads on its Windows operating systems.
Duckduckgo Search Engine
DuckDuckGo's search engine is a substitute for Google. It executes your search whenever you launch a new search. DuckDuckGo will then get the results of Bing and displays them to you in your web browser. You won't come in direct contact with Bing while using this engine. Bing does not have access to any personal information, such as your IP address or location. DuckDuckDuckGo also displays ads on its search results. However, it is not able to provide targeted ads because it does not collect the data of users. The search engine will show ads based on keywords or phrases that match the phrase "holidays". It will not be able to use any other information about you, since it's made the decision not to make use of it. Bing is quite similar to Google, according to our assessment. It all comes down to personal preferences as to which one you prefer. We prefer DuckDuckGo because it's easier to keep your identity completely private.
